Legal Health Check

Promptly identify areas requiring attention and prioritize key legal matters.
Table of contents

As a business grows, changes or expands its activities, its corporate records, legal documents and licences may no longer fully reflect its current circumstances. Gaps or inconsistencies may remain unnoticed until they create a legal, regulatory or operational issue.

Our Quick Legal Health Check provides a focused review of your corporate records, legal documents, licences and selected legal compliance matters, based on the information and documents you provide.

Rather than reviewing every aspect of your business, we focus on the agreed areas and examine them in sufficient detail to identify gaps, inconsistencies, potential legal concerns and matters that may require further attention.

Focused Review, Not Full Legal Due Diligence

A full legal due diligence or comprehensive compliance review provides a broader assessment across multiple areas of a business. Depending on its purpose and scope, it may require more extensive document collection, information gathering and verification, as well as greater time and involvement from the business.

Not every business needs that level of review at every stage

If your objective is to obtain a clear view of selected areas of your current legal position, identify potential issues and determine whether further legal work may be necessary, our Quick Legal Health Check provides a practical alternative.

It is designed for businesses that need a focused but substantive review within a defined scope, rather than a review of the entire business.

What We Review

Corporate Records & Legal Documents

Review of relevant corporate and legal documents for completeness, consistency and current status.

Business Activities & Legal Requirements

Review of the business activities described by the company and their relationship with its registered information, existing legal documents and applicable legal requirements. This may include identifying potential needs for additional business registration, licences, conditions or other regulatory requirements.

Licences & Related Documents

Review of existing licences and related documents, including their status, key information and consistency with other documents provided.

Legal Records & Licence Tracking

Where relevant, review of the company's existing records or licence-tracking system to identify discrepancies or gaps and suggest practical improvements for maintaining up-to-date records.

What You Receive

Following the review, we provide a concise summary of:

  • Key gaps, inconsistencies or potential legal concerns identified;
  • Documents or matters that may require updating, supplementation or further review;
  • Relevant licensing or regulatory matters that may require attention; and
  • Practical recommendations on potential next steps, where appropriate.

Where a matter requires further factual verification or more detailed legal assessment, we will identify this and indicate whether further review may be appropriate.

Scope & Limitations

The review is conducted based on the information and documents provided by the company. We do not independently verify the accuracy or completeness of such information, and an identification of a potential issue does not, by itself, constitute a determination that the company is in breach of law.

The service does not include:

  • Physical site inspections or independent verification of actual operations, facilities or practices against licensed conditions or other operational requirements;
  • Examination or audit of accounting or financial records;
  • Tax, accounting, financial or other non-legal compliance matters; or
  • A full legal due diligence or comprehensive legal compliance audit.
